Rolfing Complements Chiropractic Care: Real Client Results

After nearly 30 years of full-time and part-time teaching, Tom developed chronic soreness in his shoulders and neck from the repetitive motion of writing on chalkboards and whiteboards, plus years of lower back pain severe enough that he had to sleep in a recliner instead of a bed. He first learned about massage therapy as a complement to chiropractic care from a brochure at his chiropractor's office and then discovered that Structural Integration/Rolfing is complementary to chiropractic care as well. Since working with Marie, Tom shares that he can sleep in his own bed again and wake up without lower back pain, and he feels confident teaching and writing on the whiteboard without the discomfort that used to come with it. Structural Integration is different from a typical relaxation or deep-tissue massage. Rather than only chasing today's sore spot, it works with the body's fascial network to address longer-standing patterns of tension, posture, and repetitive-strain movement and can be used alongside chiropractic care, not instead of it.
